Bullying - Advocate for in-depth research on bullying
We could approach Singapore Children’s Society to offer grants to
academics and researchers, who would be our target audience, to conduct
further research. We hope to gain a greater understanding of the factors
surrounding bullying. The success of this project could be evaluated by the
insight and analysis gained from published research work. Based on this
research, intervention methods could be devised to reduce and even prevent
bullying.
Limited number of academics and researchers may be interested in this
research topic. Therefore, it is important to publicise this research effort
extensively to reach out to as many academics and researchers as possible.

Research on understand bullying in Singapore is limited to understanding
victims’ experiences and surveying the numbers of reported incidents. More
effort could be made to examine how factors such as culture, race and
gender influence bullying and promote passive bystanding or discourage
active bystanding.
