COMPLYING WITH REQUIREMENTS
Our commitment to environmental, health and safety compliance is expressed in our EHS Policy.
Our businesses are subject to various rules and regulations at the federal, state, and local government levels.
We believe that we are in compliance with these rules and regulations and that we have the appropriate licenses
to bid and perform work in the locations in which we operate.
We provide employees with necessary training upon hire and during the course of employment to perform required
work, and we monitor conformance via our quality program.
In FY17, we received 2 notices of violation (NOVs) as described below, which resulted in $3,500 in total
fines/penalties.
■ ■ Sept 2, 2016: An NOV was issued to TRC Environmen-
tal by New York Department of Health relating to the loss
of control of a radioactive source and the failure to timely
notify NYDOH of the loss.
■ ■ June 5, 2017: An NOV was issued to TRC Companies,
Inc. by the Rhode Island Department of Labor relating to
the operation of hoisting equipment by a subcontractor
lacking a valid R.I. Hoisting Engineer license at the time
of the inspection.
Our Code of Conduct states our commitment to
properly respond to inquiries by government
officials. Employees refer any governmental
inquiries or notices to the General Counsel who
is responsible for coordinating a full and timely
response, including corrective actions if warranted.
Non compliance events and near misses are
communicated internally to share lessons learned
in order to avoid recurrence.
FOSTERING A CULTURE OF QUALITY
Quality at TRC is more than meeting or exceeding our customers’ expectations. It is also about creating meaningful
value for them, becoming their strategic advisors and forging an alliance as their trusted business partners. A key
tenet of our philosophy is that every person is responsible and accountable for the quality of their work. A multi-
tiered quality organization reaches across and within each line of business and support function.
Quality Leaders represent each Practice and coordinate with Quality Coordinators in each office to raise awareness
of Quality issues. In FY17, most Practices began regular cross-Practice/Office quality-themed discussions in which
they share lessons learned, best practices, client feedback, standards and procedures, training needs and more.
have raised the bar on fostering a culture of personal ownership for Quality across TRC this year.

MAINTAINING CYBERSECURITY AND DATA PRIVACY
We are committed to maintaining confidentiality and privacy of our own and our clients’ data and information.
We are not aware of any breaches of client privacy/confidentiality or losses of client data during FY17. The Cyber
Security Council, with members from our various operating sectors, continues to provide oversight and guidance
and to help prioritize the development of information security initiatives and projects, keeping in mind the needs
of the various practices.
As part of our effort to achieve certification in our Power Delivery practice to the ISO 27001 standard for
Information Security Management Systems, we have been making steady progress on system implementation
and intend to be ready by first quarter in 2018 for our third party audit and subsequent certification.
