Employees
Active and broad-reaching employee involvement in our sustainability initiative is critical to our success. Discussion boards, an internal blog site, quarterly webinars and focused workgroups all promote collaboration on areas of interest and the sharing of best practices.
Having senior management support and participate in our Sustainability Committee is critical, but we know that it also takes participation by all of our employees to advance our program in a meaningful way. In 2016, we launched our Sustainability Coordinator Network, which currently represents approximately 60 percent of our offices and 75 percent of our workforce.
Clients
The work we do with our clients to promote our collective sustainability initiatives goes beyond project engagements. For example, we have reviewed each other’ s sustainability reports, presented on emerging trends and issues in our clients’ annual corporate sustainability forums, and engaged in joint community projects.
Investors
We hold quarterly investor conference calls with an interactive question and answer format and engage in regular dialogue with our shareholders in meetings and conferences. Our investor relations team also helps new or prospective investors reach out to us to form a relationship with executive management and better understand the company’ s values and mission. We also regularly communicate relevant information via a dedicated investor page on our public website.
Board of Directors
Our Executive Team receives monthly up- dates on our sustainability program, and our Board of Directors regularly reviews the progress of our sustainability initiatives.
External Alliances
We are actively engaged in trade associations and strategic affiliations representing our key service and market areas. We continue exploring opportunities to contribute thought leadership to the broader sustainability agenda through active participation in sustainability forums where, on our clients’ behalf, we apply our technical and engineering expertise and practical economic strategies.
