Sharing Our Expertise
Through collaboration and partnership, we provide thought leadership and technical expertise to organizations aligned with our clients’ business and sustainability objectives. Professional associations and organizations in which we are members and participate include:
American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy( ACEEE). TRC provides presenters and moderators for panel discussions at annual conferences, working with ACEEE to advance energy efficiency policies, programs, technologies, investments, and behaviors.
American Public Transportation Association( APTA) Sustainability Committee. In FY16, TRC received the bronze recognition level by APTA for our outstanding sustainability achievements and became a member of the APTA Sustainability Committee. TRC’ s bronze level recognition is a result of ongoing commitments to: making sustainability part of the Company’ s strategic objectives; identifying an internal sustainability champion coupled with human and / or financial resources and mandates; establishing an employee engagement program; and setting sustainability targets and objectives related to energy use, GHG emissions, waste and recycling.
The American Wind Energy Association( AWEA). TRC actively participates in the wind policy committee along with the Siting and Environmental Compliance committee to keep current with wind energy related issues and provide experience-based input on policy and regulatory topics of discussion.
CDP( formerly Carbon Disclosure Project). In FY15 and FY16, TRC completed the Supply Chain Module CDP report, disclosing our carbon risks / opportunities and performance metrics. We also signed a contract with CDP to be a preferred provider of energy efficiency and sustainability advisory services to support CDP’ s Action Exchange( AEX) Program.
Electric Utility Industry Sustainability Supply Chain Alliance( EUISSCA). At the request of participating utility clients, TRC responds to the EUISSCA supplier questionnaire, through which we communicate progress toward our sustainability goals with our utility clients. We also attend the EUISSCA conference each year to better engage with our clients on expectations regarding supply chain opportunities and challenges.
The Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. TRC is a member of ISI and has a number of Envision TM certified professionals nationwide.
