The group was able to fill dozens of trash bags with litter and collect hundreds of items for recycling. TRC staffers Paul Arnold, John McRobbie, Jamie Stapleton and Matt Robbins volunteered to help client Groundwork Lawrence clean up Lawrence, MA. JP Morgan Corporate Challenge Led by team captain Bethany Beswick, 26 employees from TRC’s Liverpool, NY office participated in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge on June 18th at Onondaga Lake Park in Syracuse, NY. The Corporate Challenge is a worldwide, team-based series of 3.5 mile running events promoting health and fitness in the workplace, goodwill and camaraderie among employees, and commitment to the community and best environmental practices. The top teams in each of 13 cities go on to compete in the annual series championship. Pat Hodson and Team TRC ran 3.5 miles to support the YMCA of Greater Syracuse This year’s race attracted 7,603 runners comprising 298 teams, making it the second largest Corporate Challenge event to date. The Corporate Challenge strives to make a difference through a donation to a not-for-profit organization in each host city—the Syracuse event raised money for the YMCA of Greater Syracuse’s Send a Kid to Camp Program, which offers underprivileged children a chance to experience summer camp. 44 | 2014 Sustainability Report
