Reason and Reverence

What is the Categorical Imperative? It is a moral test devised by the philosopher Kant, which, in its most basic form, states that if one has the means to do the right thing, it should be done, and it should be done purely for the sake of doing the right thing, not for any reward or punishment. If it passes that test, the act is morally justified.
