for.( Berridge) But the way that humanity is continuing is leading them down a road of the opposite result. One of the most important worrying traits of the human psyche that I forgot to mention yesterday, was the incredible lack of meaning in the lives of these humans. As their famed philosopher Aristotle accurately describes, the two ways to be happy in life, is hedonia, which is pleasure and more instant gratification, and the second is eudaimonia, which translates to meaning. This is my essential problem. In their lives, humans go around so involved in their technology, and so addicted to the drug of instant gratification that they are deeply lacking eudaimonia.( Berridge) The meaning in their lives has devolved into something that is deeply connected to unimportant things, such as the way that other people think of them. However I must take into account that humans feel meaning and happiness differently, and there is a chance that these fabulous but corrupted beings will be able to further evolve and become beings that are able to find meaning and happiness in even the darkest of moments, which is essentially what it means to be happy, which is being able to bounce back from difficult situations with optimism. So here I sit, upon my cloud contemplating the decisions that I made long ago and their everlasting implications. Waiting to see whether my efforts will result fruitfully, or whether their species will wither and fall from the tree of life as a comet would from the sky.
