TRAVERSE 130
The NT1100 is equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth connectivity. Heated grips, cruise control, USB and 12-volt accessory sockets, self-cancelling indicators, Emergency Stop Signal technology and a centre stand are also standard.
For riders wanting additional suspension sophistication, the NT1100 Electronic Suspension continues to sit alongside the standard model.
It uses Showa’ s Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment system, or Showa-EERA, which automatically adjusts damping according to information from the motorcycle’ s speed, attitude and suspension movement. Honda says the system can make adjustments within 15 milliseconds.
The electronically controlled system offers Urban, Tour, Rain and User settings, with the rider also able to make rear spring-preload adjustments through 24 steps while riding.
The standard NT1100 retains conventional Showa suspension, with 43mm cartridge-type inverted forks offering 150mm of travel and a rear shock providing the same amount of axle travel.
Underneath, the NT1100 uses a steel semi-double cradle frame and bolt-on aluminium subframe. Braking is handled by dual 310mm front discs with four-piston radial-mount callipers, backed by a 256mm rear disc.
The road-focused chassis runs a 17-inch front and rear wheel combination, with 120 / 70-17 front and 180 / 55-17 rear tyres. Wheelbase is 1,535mm, ground clearance is 175mm and rake and trail are set at 26.5 degrees and 108mm respectively.
Kerb weight is 238kg for the manual NT1100 and 248kg for the DCT version, with the Electronic Suspension variant adding another kilogram.
For riders looking to extend the NT1100’ s touring capability, Honda also offers a range of accessories and two main equipment packs.
The Urban Pack adds a colour-matched 50-litre top box with inner bag and back pad, along with an alarm. The Voyage Pack is aimed more squarely at long-distance touring and adds the same 50-litre top box, a 4.5-litre tank bag, rider and pillion comfort seats, comfort pillion footpegs and fog lights.
There are also individual accessories including a quickshifter with autoblipper function, aluminium luggage panels and a new decorative sticker set.
For 2027, then, Honda is not attempting to reinvent the NT1100. Instead, the company is keeping the formula that has already established the bike as a significant player in the European touring market and giving it a visual refresh.
With the choice of Mat Ballistic Black Metallic, Mat Beta Silver Metallic or Pearl Hawkseye Blue, the NT1100 and NT1100 Electronic Suspension head into the new model year retaining the combination of Africa Twinderived performance, road-biased handling, extensive electronics and long-distance practicality that defines Honda’ s modern tourer.
