Adventure, Handcrafted

British boutique helmet manufacturer Hedon has ventured into the booming adventure-touring segment with the launch of the Psilo Explorer, bringing its trademark blend of handcrafted luxury, minimalist styling and premium materials to riders who spend as much time chasing horizons as they do carving mountain roads.
Long recognised for its retro-inspired road helmets, Hedon has built a reputation for combining artisan craftsmanship with contemporary safety standards. The Psilo Explorer represents the company ' s first purpose-built adventure helmet, retaining the elegant aesthetic that has become synonymous with the brand while introducing the functionality expected by modern ADV riders.
Constructed from a full carbon-fibre shell, the Psilo Explorer weighs a claimed 1,450 grams, making it one of the lighter adventure helmets currently available. Three shell sizes are used across the size range to improve fit and reduce unnecessary bulk, while the helmet carries both ECE 22.06 and DOT certification.
The helmet features an adjustable adventure peak, a wide eye port, premium leather and Merlin anti-bacterial interior trim, and a low-profile shell that distinguishes it from many of the larger, more aggressively styled adventure helmets on the market. Hedon has clearly prioritised refinement over rugged appearance, resulting in a helmet that looks equally at home on a classic scrambler as it does on a modern adventure bike.
For riders wanting additional technology, the flagship Commander model arrives fitted with a Quin smart safety system, which uses integrated sensors to detect crashes and can alert emergency contacts if an accident is detected. The standard Signature and Nomad versions omit the smart technology but retain the same premium
