Forma expands adventure range with all-new Adventure AIR boot
Italian motorcycle footwear specialist Forma has unveiled the new Adventure AIR boot, expanding its adventure touring range with a model designed to meet the growing demand for lighter, more breathable riding gear without sacrificing the protection expected from a premium adventure boot.
The Adventure AIR is the latest evolution of Forma ' s long-running Adventure series, which has become a familiar choice among adventure and dual-sport riders for its balance of comfort, durability and all-day wearability. Rather than replacing the existing models, the new boot broadens the line-up by offering a more ventilation-focused option for riders who spend extended periods in warm climates or tackle mixed terrain.
Construction combines full-grain oil-treated leather with abrasion-resistant Putek ® technical fabric, while impact protection is provided by D3O ® ankle armour, a reinforced shin plate, heel protection and an updated gear shift pad. A Vibram ® sole with Traction Lug technology has been developed to improve grip both on the motorcycle and when walking across uneven ground, reflecting the reality that many adventure riders spend as much time exploring on foot as they do in the saddle. Despite its emphasis on ventilation, Forma has retained its Drytex waterproof membrane, giving the boot the versatility to cope with rapidly changing weather conditions often encountered during long-distance travel. Revised aluminium buckles and a redesigned closure system are also intended to provide a more secure fit while making the boots easier to adjust when riding.
The launch reflects a broader trend within the adventure motorcycle market, where manufacturers are increasingly developing equipment that bridges the gap between dedicated off-road protection and touring comfort. As adventure motorcycles continue to dominate sales in many global markets, demand has grown for riding apparel capable of handling everything from highway kilometres to gravel roads and remote tracks.
Forma has also focused on rider comfort, revising the internal construction and ergonomics to reduce fatigue during long days in the saddle while improving flexibility for walking. The result is a boot aimed at riders who view adventure touring as more than simply riding from one destination to another.
The Adventure AIR joins a growing catalogue of Forma adventure footwear, alongside the Adventure Low, Adventure Pro and Terra Evo models, reinforcing the Italian company ' s position as one of the leading manufacturers specialising in adventure and off-road motorcycle boots.
