THE PRICE IS THE PRICE:

MV Agusta Challenges Industry

MV Agusta has doubled down on its intent to shake up the rapidly expanding travel enduro segment, positioning the Enduro Veloce as a motorcycle that refuses to play by the industry’ s increasingly familiar rules. At a time when many manufacturers chase attention with low headline prices only to layer essential features behind optional extras and software paywalls, the Italian brand is taking a more direct approach. The message is simple: what you see is what you get, and in the case of the Enduro Veloce, that means a fully realised machine delivered straight from the factory without compromise.
The latest update reinforces that philosophy with the introduction of two new colour schemes, Nero Intenso / Grigio Antracite and Bianco Perlato RC / Blu Nordico, each sharpening the model’ s already distinctive visual identity. Yet the real story lies beneath the surface, where MV Agusta is making a clear statement about value, transparency, and what riders should expect when investing in a premium adventure machine.
At its core, the Enduro Veloce represents the brand’ s most performance-focused interpretation of the travel enduro category, blending its racing heritage with a comprehensive suite of premium components and advanced electronics. Crucially, every element is delivered as standard equipment. There are no hidden costs waiting in the wings, no software unlocks, and no additional workshop visits required to access the bike’ s full capability. It arrives complete, configured exactly as intended by the engineers who designed it.
That approach stands in stark contrast to a broader market trend where base models often serve as little more than a starting point. Riders are frequently required to spend significantly more to achieve a comparable level of specification, adding optional packages that include everything from electronic rider aids to touring essentials. MV Agusta’ s argument is that once those competitors are brought up to the same level, the perceived price advantage begins to erode, sometimes disappearing altogether.
It’ s a claim that leans heavily on the Enduro Veloce’ s integrated electronics package, which is delivered as a cohesive system rather than a series of add-ons. Built around a six-axis IMU, the bike incorporates cornering
ABS, multiple riding modes including a custom setting, traction control with eight levels of adjustment, front lift control, engine brake management, and a bi-directional quick shifter. Throttle response, torque delivery, and RPM limits can all be tailored, while cruise control adds a layer of long-distance comfort that underscores the bike’ s touring credentials.
What sets this system apart is not just its breadth but its level of integration. The Enduro Veloce is designed to adapt to two distinct tyre configurations— one geared towards road use and the other for off-road riding— with electronic calibration adjusting accordingly to maintain optimal performance and control. It’ s a holistic approach that reflects a motorcycle engineered as a complete package from the outset, rather than one assembled through incremental upgrades.
This sense of completeness extends beyond electronics. The Enduro Veloce arrives equipped with aluminium panniers and mounting frames, protection bars, fog lights, a centre stand, and Bridgestone AT41 tyres as standard. These are not accessories to be added later but fundamental elements of the bike’ s identity, reinforcing its role as a machine built for real-world adventure straight off the showroom floor.
All of this lands at a retail price of € 19,900 in the Italian market, backed by a five-year factory warranty. On paper, that figure places it firmly within the premium end of the segment, but MV Agusta is betting that informed buyers will look beyond the initial number and consider the total package. In doing so, the Enduro Veloce becomes less about competing on price alone and more about redefining how value is measured in a category where expectations continue to evolve.
As the travel enduro market grows, driven by riders seeking machines capable of bridging longdistance touring, daily usability, and genuine off-road performance, the Enduro Veloce arrives as a confident statement of intent. It doesn’ t attempt to undercut the competition through stripped-back entry points or complex option lists. Instead, it offers a singular proposition: a fully equipped, high-performance motorcycle that delivers everything upfront, exactly as promised. TRAVERSE
