ROGUE REVOLUTION
KLIM ' S ARMOR THAT ADAPTS
Motorcycle gear specialist Klim has lifted the lid on its all-new Rogue Armor system, a nextgeneration protection platform set to debut across its riding lineup. First revealed at the EICMA 2025, the technology signals a major shift in how rider safety, comfort, and real-world usability are being approached. Developed entirely in-house over more than five years, Rogue Armor is built from a proprietary impact-absorbing polymer designed to deliver higher protection with significantly less bulk. According to Klim, the system is thinner, lighter, and more breathable than previous armor generations— addressing long-standing complaints from riders about stiffness and heat retention. At the core of Rogue’ s innovation is its ability to perform across a broader range of conditions. Traditional CEcertified armor is only required to pass impact tests in ambient and wet environments, but Rogue Armor goes further, meeting standards in hot and cold conditions as well, a move aimed squarely at adventure and touring riders who routinely face extreme climates.
Klim says even its Level 2 armor, typically thicker and heavier, is now as slim as previous Level 1 protectors, without sacrificing impact performance. This reduction in bulk translates to improved mobility and a more natural fit, while also enhancing airflow through outer garments, particularly those using Gore-Tex membranes.
The system will be offered in multiple configurations, including Level 1, Level 2, and the more advanced Rogue EXP Level 2, which increases coverage area for greater protection. The EXP variant is asymmetrically shaped to better disperse impact forces while maintaining flexibility, an approach that reflects a growing trend toward more anatomically tuned protective gear.
Importantly, Rogue Armor is not limited to new products. Klim has confirmed that the system will be backwards compatible with many of its existing jackets and pants, allowing current riders to upgrade without replacing their entire kit.
The rollout is part of a broader overhaul of Klim’ s 2026 range, which also includes redesigned adventure and touring gear with improved ventilation, mobility, and ergonomics.
In an increasingly competitive market where brands are pushing the limits of lightweight protection, Rogue Armor positions Klim at the forefront of innovation. By tackling the long-standing compromise between safety and comfort, the company appears to be betting that the future of riding gear lies not in heavier armor, but in smarter materials. TRAVERSE
