Japanese helmet maker Shoei Hornet ADV06 has officially launched its latest adventure motorcycle helmet, marking a significant step forward in the brand’ s long-standing reputation for premium safety and performance gear. The ADV06 is positioned as a versatile all-terrain solution for riders who spend long days on highways as well as navigating gravel tracks and off-road trails, offering a blend of advanced protection, comfort and practicality not always found in a single helmet.
Built around Shoei’ s Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus( AIM +) composite shell, the ADV06 uses a multilayer construction of glass fiber, organic fiber and high-performance materials to deliver strong impact resistance while keeping overall weight competitive in the adventure class. A multi-density EPS liner system works in tandem with the shell to absorb energy across a variety of impact scenarios, reflecting Shoei’ s commitment to rider safety under the latest ECE 22.06 testing standard.
Vision and clarity have been prioritised with the inclusion of a wide CNS-2 visor and an anti-fog PINLOCK ® EVO insert, helping riders maintain clear sightlines in changing weather conditions and at varying speeds. The visor system is designed for quick, tool-free changes, and a wind and breath deflector is included in the helmet package along with a helmet bag and maintenance silicone for the visor seal.
Ventilation has received notable attention, with multiple adjustable air inlets on the brow, chin and upper head, and four exhaust outlets at the rear to promote airflow, reduce heat build-up and manage humidity inside the helmet. An integrated aerodynamic spoiler at the back enhances stability at speed, working with the helmet’ s peak to deliver glare protection and deflect debris without causing significant lift— a key concern
for adventure riders covering mixed terrain.
Comfort features include a fully removable and washable interior with three-dimensional contoured head padding and cheek pads. These pads come in a range of thicknesses to allow riders to finetune the fit, and ear pads help reduce wind noise on longer rides. Shoei has also prepared the ADV06 for the installation of communication systems, with dedicated recesses for speakers and wiring.
Safety-oriented details extend to an Emergency Quick Release System( EQRS), which lets first responders remove cheek pads quickly in the event of an accident, and a traditional double-D chin strap fastener that ensures a secure fit. Shoei offers the ADV06 in a range of shell sizes from XS through XXL to better match different head shapes and proportions.
The launch of this adventure helmet comes as part of Shoei’ s broader 2026 lineup, which was previewed at the International Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan and underlines the company’ s focus on evolving safety and comfort features across categories.
Retail availability varies by region, with several colour and graphic finishes offered at different price points. In Australia, for example, the ADV06 has been listed from roughly AU $ 1,049 up to AU $ 1,249 depending on finish and retailer, reflecting its positioning at the higher end of the adventure helmet market.
With its comprehensive feature set, the ADV06 aims to meet the demands of riders who expect a premium helmet capable of handling diverse riding conditions, from long highway distances to dusty backroads, and in doing so continues Shoei’ s legacy of combining cuttingedge design with trusted protection.
