Grip, Flex, ProtecT meet the 2026 Tech 7 Enduro
Alpinestars has shaken up the off‐road boot market with a major update to its Tech 7 Enduro line, unveiling what the company calls a ground‐up redesign of one of its most popular trail riding boots. The 2026 Tech 7 Enduro and its waterproof‐ready Drystar ® sibling take the familiar DNA of the original and push it further into territory that melds serious protection with everyday usability— a combination riders have long chased in an enduro boot.
The engineers at Alpinestars have rethought the core of the boot, giving it an enduro‐specific dual‐compound sole that promises improved grip, durability and pedal feel across rocks, mud, clay and hardpack that characterises technical trails. This sole is integrated into a multi‐density footbed designed to support riders’ feet while enhancing control of shifter and brake levers, and in the Drystar ® version a waterproof, breathable membrane is built into the inner liner to keep moisture out without compromising ventilation.
Protection has been strengthened all around. Extensive TPU reinforcement wraps the toes, heels, ankles, calves and shins, while contoured plates and a revised pivot system balance impact resistance with biomechanical flex— a nod to the need for both safety and mobility when negotiating technical terrain and hiking over obstacles. The updated buckle system pairs high‐impact aluminium frames with quick‐release, self‐aligning closures to offer a secure fit that’ s easier to adjust even while wearing gloves.
Riders accustomed to the original Tech 7 Enduro will notice a flatter toe angle and revised sole profile aimed at reducing unwanted roll and giving a more planted feel on footpegs. Alpinestars has also expanded calf fitment and refined the flex zones around the instep and Achilles to make long days in the saddle less fatiguing while retaining the ruggedness needed for aggressive off‐road riding. The combination of protection and comfort reflects a thoughtful push to bridge the gap between race‐oriented motocross boots and the demands of enduro adventure riders.
The new Tech 7 Enduro range illustrates how boot technology is evolving as riders expect more from their gear— not just in terms of protection, but in adaptability to varied conditions and terrain. Whether tackling wet trails with the Drystar ® model or dry conditions with the standard version, this latest generation of Tech 7 Enduro boots positions itself as a versatile choice for modern off‐road enthusiasts.
