own terms; free from pressure, free from judgement, and free to progress at a pace that feels safe.
“ We were amazed at how many women came out of the woodwork for this event,” Emma said.“ And the best part? Every single one of them left asking when the next one is.”
Behind her excitement is a simple truth: when women are given a space where they feel supported, they show up— and they thrive.
“ The fact that you’ re around other women, there’ s no judgement,” agreed Kat Kingsley, founder of Wild Child Adventures and another of the local coaches.“ You support each other, you’ re cheering each other on, and it’ s just a fun place. Like, I guess … an environment where you can just try things.”
Participants ranged from absolute beginners who had ridden little off-road before to confident intermediates looking to refine technique. Many arrived feeling unsure, nervous or carrying past experiences where they hadn’ t felt taken seriously as riders. Some came alone, not knowing a single person. Others brought bikes they weren’ t fully confident handling. All were met with the same
