Despite its remote location, Fairy Meadows Cottages provides essential comforts. There’ s a main lodge with a traditional wood-burning stove, a dining hall serving both Pakistani and continental meals, and an outdoor seating area perfect for stargazing. In the evenings, bonfires are often lit, drawing travellers together to share stories beneath a sky thick with stars.
The cottages are run with warm mountain hospitality. Meals are hearty and home-cooked, from chapatis and vegetable curries to trout caught fresh from local streams. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with advice on trekking routes or tales of life in Gilgit-Baltistan.
