“ Red Bull Romaniacs is one of the hardest races out there,” Ian Kimber, Triumph’ s Head of Global Racing, couldn’ t hide his pride.“ For Sam and Jonny to jump on near-standard Tigers with almost zero prep and finish where they have, it’ s incredible. This wasn’ t just marketing. This was real testing, in real conditions, with real consequences.”
Kimber was quick to point out that Sunderland’ s dominance in the Lite class wasn’ t a miscalculation, it was preparation.
“ It gave Sam valuable seat time on the Tiger before his world record attempt, without putting him at too much risk. But make no mistake, the bike earned every bit of that result.”
As for Walker, Kimber believed a win was within reach.
“ If it hadn’ t been for that single part issue on Day One, we might be having a different conversation right now.”
