altitude slowly over the last few days. In the valley, we had pizza and pasta, followed by a small bonfire and stargazing.
The following day, after a good sleep, we prepared for departure. My bike had a hairline crack in the fuel tank due to the tough roads. The crew applied a chemical weld to make it to Kaza, and I swapped bikes with one of the guides. This allowed me to ride behind the group out of the dust. We refuelled at the second highest motorable fuel station and proceeded to Langza. The road was smooth, and we enjoyed the ride. In Langza, we took photos under the Buddha statue and appreciated the scenery.
From Langza, we rode to the highest motorable restaurant in Komic at 4522 metres. The mountains were impressive, and many riders realised they were riding in the Himalayas. We then visited Hikkim, the highest post office in the world at 4440 metres, and sent postcards home. The road was difficult, especially in wet conditions. Overall, the day included several high points: the highest fuel station, restaurant, and post office.
Riding from Chandrataal Lake to Sissu was challenging due to rocky, steep, and uneven roads. Rivers diverted down the roadway complicated the ride further. Despite the difficulties, reaching bitumen without incidents was a significant achievement. The mountains were beautiful, and roadworks often delayed our journey. Once on the bitumen, the ride was easier, and we followed the Chenab River to our hotel, celebrating Achu’ s birthday.
On day nine, the group united further, but news arrived that an essential bridge was unpassable
