In the Adventure Forum, globe-trotters of note held court, telling tales of deserts crossed, borders blurred, and bikes rebuilt with little more than duct tape and goodwill. Panels on sustainability, e-mobility, and the future of ADV riding drew crowds eager to see what’ s next.
And everywhere, there was conversation, spontaneous, generous, and genuine. Strangers became friends over shared oil stains. Questions like“ What tyres are those?” or“ Which route did you take in?” opened the door to hours of storytelling.
A Milestone Event in BMW History
BMW Motorrad Days 2025 wasn’ t just another year, it marked a return to roots, a homecoming for riders who had felt the absence of Garmisch in the years the event moved elsewhere. There was a feeling of fullcircle celebration, of generations gathered in one place. Grandparents posed with grandchildren in front of vintage R75s. Riders who’ d first met at the event a decade ago now returned with spouses and sidecars in tow.
The event closed with a parade of flags, thousands of bikes rolling out of Garmisch at dawn, engines rumbling in sync, a living convoy stretching into the mist. It wasn’ t goodbye. It was“ see you down the road.”
More than a rally, more than a trade show, BMW Motorrad Days 2025 was a living, roaring, fuel-scented celebration of everything that makes motorcycling magic. It was heritage and horsepower, laughter and learning, beer and burnt rubber under Bavarian skies.
And for those lucky enough to ride there, be there, or dream of going next time, one thing was certain: the road will always lead back to Garmisch. TRAVERSE
