Honda’ s streak of success in the Red Dot awards has continued into a sixth consecutive year with the NC750X, which follows the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP( 2020), Forza 750( 2021), ADV350 and NT1100( 2022), CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp( 2023) and EM1 e:( 2024) as previous Honda winners of a Red Dot Product Design award.
Since its introduction in 2012, the NC750X has gained a reputation as the ultimate in motorcycling versatility, thanks to its upright riding position, easy manoeuvrability, outstanding fuel consumption, unique internal storage compartment and mix of comfortable and enjoyable performance. For its 2025 iteration, the NC750X became the first motorcycle to incorporate the bio-based polycarbonate resin DurabioTM in its main coloured fairing part- in its Earth Khaki colour. The NC750X’ s 2025 re-styling was led by the team at Honda’ s R & D centre in Rome, whose Project Leader, Valerio Aiello, commented:
“ We’ re delighted to receive the Red Dot design award for the NC750X. For the 2025 version, we concentrated on making it much more robust, clean and dynamic, while keeping in line with its basic concept.
" What I particularly like about the NC750X is its hybrid nature, in the sense that it passes through different categories of motorcycles taking inspiration from all of them: a bit adventure, a bit road and with the practicality of a scooter," Aiello continued. Toshinobu Minami, Managing Director, Chief
Operating Officer, Design Center, Honda R & D Co., Ltd. added, " we are very honoured to receive the Red Dot Design Award for the sixth consecutive year, and this year, we also received the iF Design Award. We believe that this is the result of people resonating with Honda Design’ s passion of ' designs that enrich the lives of our customers through experiences and products resulting from a human-centric approach '. Honda will continue to create new values that surprise and inspire people, and provide the joy of expanding their life’ s potential."
