Fast becoming the place to ride, an adventurists playground, New Zealand has something that most adventure riders want. The South Island is a relatively untouched wilderness of mountain passes, gravel covered back roads, and private access tracks offering something for everyone.
Rumbling Adventures, founded by Tim Rumble and based out of the North Island, have curated a six night tour known as the Five Days Of Dirt, a ride that showcases some of the more remote regions of the south through a series of interconnected back roads that takes in some of the more famous adventure biking tracks within the region.
Beginning in the South Islands largest city, Christchurch, riders are collected from the airport which provides access from five Australian cities plus six further afield including, the Middle East, Asia, and the United States. It’ s a gateway into this modern city that is still, in many ways, rebuilding from the after effects of the 2011 earthquake that killed one hundred and eighty-five people.
