The Bathurst side of Monaghan’ s Bluff was an easy and comfortable ride hugging the river and passing more campsites. Bitumen started near to the Box Ridge Road intersection and linked onto Duramana Road that leads you into Bathurst.
With the ride done many questions came to mind about the region and the Bridle Track. Was it worth doing? Is it just about the Bridle Track? When’ s the best time to go? Do you need to be an experienced adventure rider to tackle the track?
All I can really say is, thanks to Phil for suggesting the ride and Peter to prove that the track can be done with a Subaru. BW
