and put three machines in the top 40 , with the leading bike of the three ridden by Xavier Flick ( 28th ).
With its twentieth triumph , KTM reinforced its position of leading constructor in terms of overall victories on the Dakar . In addition to winning all the bike classes , the Austrian firm picked up eight out of the thirteen specials ( five for Sanders , two for Benavides and two for Michael Docherty ). Honda finished with three stage successes ( Van Beveren , Brabec and Schareina ), while Sherco reacquainted itself with victory once again thanks to Lorenzo Santolino .
For now , Dakar was just the first stop on the 2025 World Rally-Raid Championship . Three more rounds before the whole circus finishes in the traditional home of Dakar , Morocco for October ’ s Rallye du Maroc , and while a world championship is important it ’ s Dakar that everyone would like to win . January 2026 , will Chucky retain the most coveted title ? TRAVERSE
