Even the workers we share the house with must have understood our tiredness and invite us to share beer and freshly baked pizza . This is also the northernmost point of the road which subsequently bends towards the south and the coast .
But first there are 420km where the presence of the bin in the lay-bys is reported as a valuable asset .
We climbed to 500 metres and the cold became bitter justifying the thick blanket of snow among the trees . I rode carefully as I knew that with the 18 litre tank of our Africa Twin we could cover almost all the
distance . We will use the 2.5 litre Jerry Can to get to Port Hope , the first village on the coast . Nature seemed to stand still in January and we were happy to have found a little home so that we could warm up .
We adjusted our clocks by half an hour because we are in one of the few places in the world where the time changes by only 30 minutes . The adventure ended here because , although sparsely populated , this area has the density of a megapolis compared to what we had seen so far .
