continent with their vehicle and who had already travelled the road from Nova Scotia to here . Between one beer and another we discovered common interests and places we wanted to visit and they gave us their recommendations for the road to take the next day . They ’ d warned us , with the concern of good parents , that there were two sections of 60 and 120 kilometres that remained unpaved and that a stretch of 420 kilometres was without petrol stations .
“ Excellent ,” I thought as we get into the tent , exactly what we needed to ignite the desire to leave as soon as possible .
The morning ritual of dismantling the camp and packing the motorbike was compounded as the bike struggled to start but we knew that it was just a question of running in . And then there was the contrast of emotions between excitement and fear that assailed us every time someone announced possible difficulties . Only then do you know that the only thing to do is to leave and that all doubts would find a solution in the dimension of the journey .
