My head spun with visions of the steppe , the lifestyle , the culture , the people . A proud people adapting a traditional life that is being moved toward foreign travellers with strange language and distant beliefs .
I wondered what our hosts thought of us if they knew or even cared of Australia . I wondered what the new day would bring for them and if they cared that we would be passing more of their wonderous country with its varied landscapes and a wonderful lack of infrastructure . I wondered what the sheep was thinking as it looked me in the eye . I thanked it for its life and promised to never again take animal products for granted . Sleep came easy in the cosy little construction and with it came dreams of the steppe , the people and the wonderous riding . LW
