The ultimate adventure ride across Australia ' s most southerly mainland state . Next Level Dirt Bike Tours has been planning this ride for a few years .
The ride , covering May 5 - 10 , 2024 , will start in the most easterly point of the state , Mallacoota where riders will take on the beach before heading west to reach the northeast corner near Mildura on the famous Murray River .
Covering the best sections of temperate rainforests , high country , snow fields , iconic valleys , goldfields , open plains , and deserts , this Ultimate Victorian Adventure has everything the state has to offer ! This ride has it all in terms of riding terrain and conditions in landscapes as diverse as anywhere on the planet .
" The bikes suitable for this ride are enduro bikes set up for light adventure riding with larger tanks ," explains Josh Rykers of Next Level Dirt Bike Tours . " Or adventure bikes with capable riders ."
He also suggests that bikes should have a minimum range of 250 kilometres or be able to carry additional fuel .
The nature of the Ultimate Victorian Adventure is that of a point to point ride meaning riders must be able to get themselves to the start in Mallacoota and from the finish in Mildura however , Next Level Dirt BIke Adventures are offering a transport option with details on their website .
" This is a ride for adventurous intermediate to advanced riders with an average fitness level ," continues Rykers . " Our extremely experienced support riders will safely and confidently get you through all sections including the desert sections that we know many riders have never done before .
If you are open to a personal challenge , both physically and mentally , that covers the span of a week then the Ultimate Victorian Adventure could be for you .
Rykers adds that , " riders would need to be experienced and especially so if riding an adventure bike . The riding is all forestry roads and 4x4 tracks as well as in the deserts deep sand tracks ". Although he does concede that there ' s a number of bitumen transit sections conecting the different terrains .
With an entry price of AU $ 2,700 (+ GST ) the Ultimate Victorian Adventure covers six nights accommodation in shared or bunk style rooms ( limited single rooms are available for additional cost ), dinners and breakfasts for the duration of the ride , and fully equipped support vehicle and riders .
