hectares , this World Heritage Site is one of the largest natural areas managed by CapeNature and is a favourite destination for hikers , cyclists , and bird watchers . The Marine Protected Area at De Hoop covers an area of 29 000 hectares and stretches along a coastline of fiftyseven kilometres .
Our hosts for the evening were the accommodation providers at the
park called the De Hoop collection . I had made a point of not investigating them too much and letting us arrive with no preconceived notions or expectations . If I had known what a treat we were in for , I would have directed Mike to take a shorter route there .
