of tar nestled tightly between cliffs that towered to our left and more that dropped off to the ocean , just to our right . The road was smooth with bends that had us bobbing from left to right so quickly , that I could feel the movement in and out of the mountain shadow . With views over the bay towards the more populated seaside villages that form the southern peninsula of Cape Town .
Muizenberg , Kalk Bay , Fish Hoek , Simonstown and eventually the Cape Point National Park where the most southwestern point of the continent could be found . With it being whale season , we watched for the parked cars and crowd that always marked a pod of whales being gawped at by passersby , but the large sea giants were evasive and not putting on a display for us on that day .
As we passed little villages splashed with colourful holiday homes , I thought this bike is perfect . This really sucks that I cannot be riding on my own steed with my mate Mike leading the way on his own . Ok , that ’ s a lie , I would never have let him ride in front .
