The steppe is fantastic for riding , providing almost every condition you can image ; fast , open plains , deep river crossings , sand , mud , and rocky outcrops , you ’ ll even get the occasional mountain pass . The riding never feels too extreme , yet even the most experienced can be caught out , there ’ s always support able to pick you up , repair a bike , or take on the ride . Living like a local is also a must . Out on the steppe the ger is the castle . Every nomadic family resides in the large , round , often white , temporary constructions as they move from location to location , often as many four times per season .
