It took me two days to realise that although the languages and writing are similar most people in Bishkek speak Russian not the Kyrgyz you would imagine , and that a ‘ kopeyka ’ is the name of the smallest Soviet coin , a sort of insult to the small , cheap car . I also discovered that I am indeed a slow study , some things will never change … LW
