mountains , where majestic baobab , capable of living for more than a thousand years , drew grotesquely beautiful outlines upon the horizon . This is the territory where the Hadzabe live , perhaps the last true ‘ primitive ’ hunters that continued to live off their hunting skills used in the past . Traditional hunting tools , bows and arrows , are still utilised , as are the language skills of the past . Communication is through a series of pops , clicks , and whistles , that while effective , does not frighten the prey during a hunt .
Eyasi is a seasonal shallow salt lake at the bottom of the Great Rift Valley just south of Serengeti National Park and immediately southwest of the Ngorongoro Crater .
