Syria to Mozambique .
Amongst the crags and outcrops of the valley it is here that the remains of ancient hominids were found , suggesting that this could be the birthplace of human history .
The elegance of the acacias accompanied us to the shores of Lake Natron whose waters are tinged with the reddish colours of the flamingos that have made the waters one of their favourite breeding grounds . Yet , on this border between land and water , giraffes and zebras are the masters , especially in the early morning when the light and heat are yet to appear .
A short distance from Africa Safari Lake Natron , which hosted us for the night in wonderful tents , there is the Engaresaro Falls , where the waters of a hidden river make a spectacular leap of about thirty metres creating a magical place to find coolness and respite from the days heat .
