the first glimpse of a village appear on the horizon and as we near we realise that this place is much larger than you would be led to believe . Kampong Luong is much more than a village , it ’ s a town that has its own schools , churches , medical clinics , and more . Every household seems to be some sort of storefront , goods of all sorts can be purchased , the inhabitants swing in hammocks waiting for a sale . It seems an ideal
lifestyle . We make our way up what can only be described as the towns main ‘ street ’, buildings perfectly aligned with each other form the edge , providing some sort of walkway for those so inclined . Most aren ’ t , watercraft are the preferred mode of transport .
Children play on boats , occasionally diving into the water with a smile and friendly wave . Oh ,
