knowing what it was . Beckoned to sit we watched as she prepared vegetables and some sort of meat , all whilst making us delicious tea . Hushed tones hid the fact that we were not quite sure where we were and what we were about to be served . My headache had subsided , perhaps the experience or the warmth of the people of Lo Manthang were treating it .
Local people came into the room , sat , and laughed with us . Neither knew what it was all about yet it didn ’ t matter . As one would leave another would appear as if we were some sort of tourist attraction , it felt strangely liberating to know that we were ones being looked at as if an exhibit on display . It was a favour being returned .
Food appeared in front of us , a steaming bowl of noodle soup complimented with vegetables
