Bugger ! I ’ d even taken a fall in Nepal . A said landslide had closed the main road , a track had been formed through a dry river bed , the way out a steep , gravel filled track . One rider fell , the second followed suit . Three and four were bogged in the gravel . This short , gravel hill was generating it ’ s own myth of being a bike eater , one that will destroy the
machine and a riders soul .
My turn to attempt . A rock was hit , the bike bounced , traction was lost . The bike went over . Thankfully a small Royal Enfield Himalayan is easy to pick up in an awkward situation . I could see that this hill was generating a story , yet for me not of fear , just embarrassment .
Nepal is a country full of such roads . Each and all could have its own story , a legend of unimaginable
