Our Chilean friend ’ s warm embrace of his appreciation of the help from strangers brought me back from my thoughts . We parted ways as the Ruta 40 headed north and my mind wandered to a recent ride in Nepal , a beautiful nation of roads that could easily terrify . In fact , I ’ d seen it .
