to make it through , I wasn ’ t going to ride back the way we had come . The two bikes ahead of us were nowhere to be seen , there had to be a clear path to traverse .
The passage did open and with it came the welcome sight of two riders sat on the road , a beautiful slip of black tarmac . We ’ d made it , one of the hardest rides I ’ d ever done . The riders looked at us and laughed , “ what kept you ?” The exhaustion on their faces suggesting they ’ d only just got here .
I dismounted and joined them on the road , now four of us rejoicing the experience and what we ’ d achieved , and been able to witness on this ride . Within a few minutes our support vehicle , an ever-reliable Mahindra had joined us .
