Motorcycle Travels & Travails Al Culler 2003 ISBN 978-0-9689445-9-2
Motorcycle Travels and Travails is a collection of motorcycle travel related stories from around the world .
Al Culler comiled a collection of his own accounts of life on a motorcycle , at times raw , seemingly always honest . If you ' re after the romance often potrayed in such recollections then Motorcycle Travels and Travails isn ' t for you .
Motorcycle Travels and Travails looks at what is often considered the underside of world travel , the real world that often sees a seedier side , prostitutes , alcohol , drugs , and crime .
There ' s an honesty from Culler that dares to shame and deomonstrate that the glossy , colour brochures don ' t always show the real world of travel . Although twenty years old , Motorcycle Travels and Travails is still worth a read if for nothing else to show that there is good and bad with everything in life , it ' s how you see and perceive that is important . Just don ' t expect too many detailed explanations or thoughts , make up your own mind .
The Furtherest Points Andy Hewitt 2019 ASIN B07S63LRBJ
Whilst Andy Hewitt has crafted a tale of exploring the four furtherest points ofthe compass taking in Spain and Portugal , The Furtherest
Points lacks , or more to the point , indulges a little something .
Exploring by Harley Davidson is kind of cool , it ' s by no means hard , although that is entirely dependent on the readers point of view , yet Hewitt is quite quick to point out that he does nothing that is hard .
The Furtherest Points could ' ve offered a little more yet becomes a self-indulgent exploration of ' new ' lands by way of Google and GPS . There ' s no adventure , it ' s all planned , and yet while interesting it does become a little stale and at times elitist , Hewitt often points out his perceived wealth , the number of bikes he owns , the numbers of cars , and the lack of work he actually does on any of them .
If you ' re looking for a guide to the Iberian Peninsula there ' s better reads out there , if you ' re looking for a little light entertainment , then The Furtherest Points could be for you .
