was playing out , a three-day old baby was being passed between the woman ’ s friends and my travelling companions . I marvelled at the trust , and the love , being shown by all . I doubted that this would ever happen where I am from .
Next to the celebration an elderly man lay on the stoop of his abode . He seemed to not care of what was occurring , I wondered if he was unwell . Eye contact never came ; a question could not be asked . Perhaps he was just bored with the commotion .
Walking on the simplicity of the lives of these people was apparent yet they displayed something that has been lost within western culture . A sense of community , of culture , and of respect abounds . Strangers are welcomed and encouraged to participate in the day to day life , to immerse and to appreciate .
Young women stand proud , their children slightly unsure as the people with strange faces try to speak in the cartoonish language ‘ our ’ children are brought up on through traditional and social medias . The kids of Taka see no such things .
