NO UPDATES

Yamaha Motor Australia has recently told local media that the 2023 updates for the Ténéré announced for the international market will not be seen down under . The European aimed upgrades , including three-way ABS and a TFT screen , will not be on Australian bikes in a move that is “ aimed at keeping the cost affordable ” for Australian riders .
The already popular Ténéré would certainly have benefitted from the upgrades as many other manufacturers start to move ahead in the middle weight adventure bike market . Australian riders will only see a new colour scheme added to the Ténéré range for 2023 .
The updates that the international market will see are a 5.0-inch colour TFT dash to replace the current LCD black and white unit . The new device will allow smart phone pairing as well as data tracking backed to the Yamaha MyRide app . An update to the current ABS unit will see a third switch allowing for the front to be active while the rear is off , currently it ’ s a simple ‘ all ’ on or off affair .
Additional features will include an improve front brake lever , new LED indicators , a USB socket that replaces the 12-volt socket currently in place , and pre-wired electronics that allow for a quickshifter to be added . Mechanically everything remains the same .
