Based around the Angorachina Tourist Village , a small encampment located between the even smaller towns of Blinman and Parachilna , the Flinders Classic utilises a series of tourist trails , four-wheel drive tracks , and private station roads . Everything is included , the leisurely adventure rider , the hard enduro addicts . And , everyone is an equal . The Flinders Classic is not a competitive event , no , it ’ s an adventure riders dream , regardless of the level of adventure you ’ re after .
Don ’ t be mistaken , the riding is the draw card , how often do bike riders get to venture into lands that seldom see people , witnessing European historical ruins far outdated by the Indigenous peoples of the area . In this harsh environment , the Adnyamathanha people , a combination of many distinct groups , have called this land home for as many as 49,000 years . Riding the Flinders Classic is an opportunity to visit significant sites and witness a timeless culture . The Wadna Shop is a fantastic way to experience a contemporary telling of the Indigenous culture .
The local European history is miniscule in comparison to that of the Aboriginal people yet in many ways just as significant , with ruined mines , deserted homesteads , and plentiful evidence of white mans arrogance in trying to tame the land .
