TRAVERSE 191

REVIEW a decent quality windcheater or windproof softshell . Layering is always key to comfort in the cold .

In the heat the Vortex 2 has a different story . We found it to quite uncomfortable , ventilation is almost non-existent , it does have vents , yet they offer little breathability , a fact backed by the 10 % MotoCAP rating . There ’ s plenty of storage options on the Vortex 2 , mirroring many other adventure jackets on the market . Overall , the Vortex 2 is a versatile entry level jacket , at AU $ 499.95 it ’ s reasonable value for money yet if your serious about your adventure or long-term travel riding perhaps look at something more suited .
