Such a cheap machine must surely draw criticism for its quality , yet it was found to be of a standard that was high and suited the needs of the adventurous rider . Well made plastics that fit well , while simple things like an adjustable windshield that can be done so with just one hand were a bonus , yet it didn ’ t end there .
Modern touches like tubeless rims ( 19 ” front / 17 ” rear ), fitted standard with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres , are a great starting point . The suspension is adjustable , front forks ( 50mm Marzocchi ) on both compression and rebound , as is the rear single KYB shock .
Brembo supply the stopping power through disengageable Bosch ABS , allowing the rider to choose a level of braking capacity that suits the conditions . The brakes are adequate through semi-floating 298mm discs up front with twin-pot calipers , and a single 255mm disc on the rear .
Like most modern adventure tourers , the Moto Morini X-Cape has a multicolour TFT display that the 7 ” screen allows for a multitude of functions . Connectable to the riders intercom for ease of communication , it ’ s also believed that a navigation system will be included in the software in the near future . Electrics include full LED lighting , tyre pressure sensors , and a double USB socket conveniently located next to the display .
The stylish body work , available in three colours ( Red Passion , Smoky Anthracite , and Carrara White ), houses the 59hp ( 44kw ) eight-valve , parallel twin made by CFMoto and acts as a stress member within the steel tubular frame .
