village of Scilla where the houses stand in front of the sea and the boats “ park ” in the cellars . It is in these waters that what we call the swordfish " hunt " continues . A beautiful fish that mythology tells , born from the pity of Teti , goddess of the seas and mother of Achilles , towards the Myrmidons , the terrible warriors of Thessaly who , to follow the fate of their king and hero , killed by Paris in front of the walls of Troy , threw themselves into the sea with armour and sword to share his fate before being turned into a fish for eternity .
Wonderful , fascinating , and beautiful stories as such , with a light of incomparable beauty , the Riace bronzes appear in front of which , in the National Archaeological Museum of Magna Grecia in Reggio Calabria , we are moved to tears , finding the ideal place in front of them . For the
end of a journey in the land that saw the enchantment of Magna Graecia first and then of Roman civilisation flourish and of which we have touched the splendor along the Via Popilia ab Capua ad Regium . ES & CZ
