The 31-year-old Frenchman had a successful motocross career before joining rally-raid racing . A specialist in sand , he won the Touquet Enduro three times in a row , he became known as the “ Little Prince ”. In the Dakar , Van Beveren has challenged for the lead in several editions , finishing fourth in 2017 and 2022 . In this new adventure with Honda , Van Beveren does not hide his ambition .
“ I am really happy and excited with this opportunity ," the former Yamaha rider exclaimed . " I feel proud to become a Honda Racing rider , since HRC is the worldwide competition factory reference . I am sure it will be an incredible experience ."
Van Beveren , who was left without a ride when Yamaha surprised everyone and pulled out of rallying , says riding a Honda is like being home as he has ridden the red bikes since he was an 8-year-old .
