lantern of my bike , Mera . Two road workers told me when I stopped where they were repairing the road , that an eagle ' s leg " brings luck ".
After travelling most of the day , I was forced by heavy rain to stop at the first hotel I found in the town of Murfreesboro , Tennessee .
The following morning , I left Murfreesboro for Asheville and entered the famous Blue Ridge Parkway via I-40 . Another wonderfully scenic road where there are no trucks or commercial buses , only cars and motorbikes . I did this by taking a detour of almost 120 km to Waynesville , from where I “ climbed " to Asheville . I slept there and then rode back up the Blue Ridge to Doughton Campground , where I camped after riding
