❒ I ' ve been reading Traverse for a couple of years and wanted to know if you have an opinion on motorcycle boots ? It seems many people have opinions with many suggesting the Forma boot is a poor choice for a number of reasons . I ' ve been using them for years and can ' t understand the reasons . Can you ? Great question Beth . I personally have been using these boots for a long time , in fact have just purchased a new pair , the previous ones had completed around 100,000 kilometres in all sorts of conditions , including two major offs . I ' ve never had an ankle injury but do understand why people think the ankle support is lacking . The thing with ' adventure ' style boots is that they are designed as a compromise , isn ' t everything in motorcycling ? They provide a level of safety , support and comfort whilst riding and are also comfortable enough to wear when off the bike , walking . If you want full support and safety when on the bike then no doubt MX / Enduro style boots are best , if you want a good compromise then Forma adventure boots or similar are a great choice . That ' s the answer , it ' s personal choice . Cheers , Ed .
