One More Day Everywhere Glen Heggstad 2009 ISBN 978-1-5502288-2-3
At times Glen Heggstad ’ s One More Day Everywhere comes across as a trip into one man ’ s ego and selfishness , and yet this is what is endearing to the overall account of riding through 50 countries and exploring the world .
At 422 pages , One More Day Everywhere is what is needed to set it apart from many other adventure motorcycle biographies , it ’ s personal , raw , and often comes across as written by a student on a gap year backpacking holiday but it is also full of commentary on geopolitical and cultural aspects . Heggstad keeps the entertainment high while ensuring enough observations fill the curiousness of the reader .
Heggstad seems to see the world differently to others and finds that his enthusiasm and charisma endears him to many , he finds that travel broadens the mind of the participants , both traveller and local .
One More Day Everywhere is an entertaining read yet at times offends , especially when reaching south-east Asia however , this could be considered a part of the travel experience and the local cultural differences . It could also be perceived that Heggstad has a ‘ traditional ’ western view of the world and at times it becomes tiresome . Let the reader be the judge .
Although 13 years old , One More Day Everywhere is still worth the read .
