TRAVERSE 134
A cheeky little beverage after a day of hard riding is an indulgence that many of us dream , travelling by motorcycle often means it will always remain just that . We all know it ’ s hard to keep a can of alcohol cold while travelling by bike , and glass , well , forget it , the
shake , rattle , and roll are just too risky . But there is an option for those that like a drink with dinner or just while watching the sun go down over camp .
Green Skin Wines produce an option that allows simple and safe carrying of wine while on the bike .
The idea came from wine maker , Mike Davies and sailor , Kim McKee , both into travel and adventure and were quick to realise that the traditional glass bottle just isn ’ t practical for such activities . The solution , the Green Skin ‘ pouch ’.
The light , versatile packaging means that wine can be taken anywhere you ride . Fitting in any of your luggage , the Green Skin pouch is 60 % less than the weight of a bottle of wine and yet carries a full 750 millilitres . It ’ s unbreakable , resealable , and fits most places , in fact we ’ ve had Green Skin pouches stuffed in our paniers , both soft and hard , as well as a roll bag and tank bag . The construction of Green Skin pouch is strong enough to cope with all punishment regular bike travel can throw at it .
But what about the wines ? We ’ ve been trying the Green Skins medley pack , a six pack of wines that includes : 2020 Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc Semillon ; 2020 Margaret River Chardonnay ; 2020 Margaret River Rosé ; 2020 Great Southern Pinot Noir ; 2019 Margaret River Syrah ; 2018 Margaret River Cabernet Merlot , and as far as we ’ re concerned all very enjoyable wines , but
